don imus should have been fired for making those derogatory remarks about the ladies from rutgers university, especially the word "ho". No matter how you say it,l it has an unsavory connotation,l meaning a low class of woman or girl who has no morals or standards of any kind.

Nappy headed, refers to black hair which is excessively curly, and hard to comb, compared to white hair or straight hair implying that straight is the standard being used to judge what is good or bad hair.

Apparently, he has been bad mouthing not only blacks, but jews, latinos, lesbians, and gay for many years, and was never called on the carpet for it. He is a white male who feels he can say and do no wrong.

Because of the boycott of many of the important sponsors he had, he began to see the error of his speech and knew he had to make amends to the young women at rutgers, and get a new perspective of what he could say and not say to people of color.

It appears firing him will lead to an interesting about face imus, he does have two blacks on his program, but he needs to do more, maybe amore posistive history of blacks, how racist remarks have hurt blacks and what can be done to overcome them, community service in the black community etc..

hitman evaluation

Ebert's description of a professional hitman and his disguise being responsible for more than 100 murders on 6 continents was one of the criteria for evaluating the movie. There was too much killing for me! I agreed with his judgment of the movie.
The prostitute Nika, became his friend and ally or confidante because was in the same boat that he was in. No family,or friends, just acquaintances. When they discovered each needed the other, they became closer.
Ebert discussed the other governments in detail,video as part of the art form, which made for a greater understanding of the movie as a whole.
It was the onlyl recent movie I've seen of Ebert, and I don't usually agree wilth his comments when he critiques movies on t.v. However, he seems to be right on target with his ideas about "Hitman".

Speaking from first hand experience, I've had several burglaries also. That is why I invented a magnetic dead-bolt lock. The major features of the lock are to control break-ins, or burglaries, increase personal safety in the home, and designed to be a significant improvement over present day security lock devices. A magnetic key is needed to unlock the mechanism.

Presently, I am working on having a prototype or sample lock made to work out the bugs in it. That way I can decide if I should pursue it, and put it on the market.

Popular Culture means the influence of other peoples' ideas, suggestions, and thouoghts on another group. These negative ideas and thoughts undermine the morals, traditions, and standards of parents for their children at an early age. These ideas come through the medium of radio, magazines, books, as well as television.
However, positive ideas should be exploited in particular. As Americans, we have the responsibility of exporting products of good or exceptional quality,which includes popular culture. Although the consumer is somewhat responsible for what he or she consumes, they should not shoulder the burden entirely.
The people who author the scripts for books, magazines, radio, and television should be held accountable to the export regulations for what they produce. An example of good quality telivision is the show, "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?"

argumentative writing

Argumentative writing gives a person a chance to discuss his or her point of view about a particular subject. An example would be my desire to write career stories for young children. I strongly feel that they should start thinking about careers early, say in kindergarten and first grade. This will give them a chance to think about a certain career, change their minds, and explore the many possibilities and options open to them. It would also give them new ideas for some unusual career choices; such as a smokologist, vulcanologist, or a taxidermist. Along with these different careers, I will include some well known ones, attorney, doctor, teacher, biologist, and nurse. I will introduce vocabulary words related to each topic or career.
